How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, fat-reduction procedure that uses a specialized device to freeze and destroy fat cells in the treatment area. This is done during a process known as cryolipolysis, an alternative to traditional liposuction. The CoolSculpting device is used on the problem area to reduce fat cells and improve body contours in a single treatment–without invasive procedures!
What can I expect while undergoing a CoolSculpting treatment session?
First, you will sit in a chair or lay on a table, so the treatment area is visible and accessible. Next, a gel pad and applicator are applied to the skin, and the applicator delivers controlled cooling below the skin’s surface to target and eliminate fat cells. As the CoolSculpting treatment begins, you may feel an intense cold that quickly subsides. The procedure is comfortable, with many patients reporting little to no discomfort during their procedure. Most patients will play on their phone, read a book, or even rest as the CoolSculpting device works magic on unwanted fat!
How much recovery and downtime is needed?
